Oreo was our queen cat.  Raised from a kitten, she almost pranced like a horse around our house, like she just won “Best in Show”.  If she liked you, you were set for life.  If she didn’t, woah, look out. She didn’t bite thank goodness, but she would bat you away from her like she was swatting a fly. 

Oreo’s favorite resting place was in a hammock suction-cupped to our front window.  She would lay there for hours during the afternoon and nap away.  We already miss knowing she was there day in and day out.

When a family’s pet lives over 20 years, you can imagine how lost they are when that pet passes.  She was at times the glue that held us all together.  Similar to a dog, she sensed when we were ill, sensed when we were sad and sensed when we just had a bad day.  She would purr around us until we gave her a lap to lay in, almost whispering to us “it’ll be okay”.

Oreo, we will love you furrever and can’t wait to play with you again someday. Xoxo
